AFTER OPERATIONS PMCS
Perform these checks after every mission or movement. Allow engine to cool before checking fluids.
Enter your info first. Green OK, red NFMC. Print when done.
Check engine compartment for fluid leaks — oil, coolant, fuel, or hydraulic fluid on ground or components
Check engine oil level — top off if below MIN; investigate if significantly low after normal operation
Check coolant level in overflow reservoir — top off if low; never open radiator cap when engine is hot
Check transmission fluid level — top off if below MIN; check for leaks at pan, lines, and cooler
Drain air reservoirs — open drain valves to expel moisture from primary and secondary air tanks
Inspect all 4 tires for damage, embedded objects, or abnormal wear after operation
Inspect brake chambers, lines, and hoses for leaks, chafing, or damage on all axles
Inspect driveshafts and U-joints — front and rear; check for damage, missing hardware, or excessive play
Check wheel lug nuts for tightness on all 4 wheels — torque to specification if any are loose
Inspect exhaust system — no loose hangers, cracks, or leaks near crew compartment or fuel lines
Check air filter restriction indicator — service filter if red band shows
Inspect hull for battle damage — dents, cracks, penetrations, or loose armor panels
Check turret ring — inspect for damage, debris, or hydraulic leaks; traverse manually to check for binding
Check all exterior lights for damage or burned-out bulbs after operation
Check seat belts and mounting hardware — must latch, retract, and release properly for all crew positions
Clean vehicle — remove mud, debris, and corrosive materials from undercarriage, hull, and weapon systems
Complete DA Form 5988-E — annotate all faults found during operations; submit to motor sergeant
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on 5988 immediately.
