AR 600-20 — Army Command Policy
Army Regulation 600-20 defines command authority, the command climate, equal opportunity, sexual harassment prevention, and the relationships between leaders and soldiers. It is the backbone of Army leadership accountability.
Command authority and responsibility, equal opportunity (EO) policy, sexual harassment and assault prevention (SHARP), fraternization and prohibited relationships, hazing and bullying, and the Army's organizational climate standards.
AR 600-20 violations are career-ending. EO complaints, SHARP incidents, and fraternization findings all trace back to this regulation. NCOs need exact citations for counselings and investigations. Soldiers need to know their rights.
