AFTER OPERATIONS PMCS
Perform these checks after every mission or movement. Allow engine to cool before checking fluids.

Check engine compartment for fluid leaks — oil, coolant, fuel, or hydraulic fluid on ground or components
Check engine oil level — top off if below MIN; investigate if significantly low
Check coolant level in surge tank — top off if low; never open cap when hot
Check transmission fluid level — top off if below MIN
Check hydraulic oil level — top off if below MIN; check for new leaks
Clean howitzer barrel — swab bore after firing; inspect for erosion, cracks, or damage
Clean and inspect breech mechanism — remove propellant residue; check for cracks or damage
Check recoil fluid level after firing — top off if low; check for leaks at cylinder seals
Inspect track and road wheels — check for damage, thrown track, or loose hardware after operations
Annotate all faults on DA Form 5988 — report to motor sergeant; document rounds fired in gun record
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
