DURING OPERATIONS PMCS
Monitor these items while operating. Stop immediately if any NFMC condition is observed.

Monitor engine temperature gauge — must stay in normal operating range; stop if approaching red zone
Monitor oil pressure gauge — must show pressure within 10 seconds of startup; minimum 10 PSI at idle
Monitor transmission temperature — must stay in normal range; no slipping or harsh shifts
Monitor voltmeter — must show charge; investigate if showing discharge or battery warning light illuminates
Monitor hydraulic pressure — must remain in normal range during turret and gun operations
Check for unusual engine noises — knocking, rattling, or excessive exhaust smoke
Monitor track — no unusual noise, vibration, or track throwing; stop if track comes off
Monitor fire suppression system warning lights — any illumination requires immediate investigation
After firing — check recoil mechanism for proper return to battery; verify breech closes and locks properly
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
