What are NFMC faults on a Stryker?
NFMC faults on the Stryker include brake system failures, steering defects, engine or transmission leaks, tire damage (the Stryker uses run-flat tires), and any fault affecting the vehicle's armor protection or weapons systems. The Stryker's central tire inflation system (CTIS) and remote weapon station also have specific NFMC criteria.
How does Stryker PMCS differ from wheeled vehicle PMCS?
Stryker PMCS (TM 9-2355-311-10) includes checks specific to its eight-wheel drive system, central tire inflation system (CTIS), appliqué armor panels, and electronic systems not found on standard wheeled vehicles. The Stryker also requires checks on its NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection systems and fire suppression system.
