BEFORE OPERATIONS PMCS
Perform these checks before every mission or movement. Items marked NFMC will prevent the vehicle from being dispatched.

Check engine oil level — must be between MIN and MAX on dipstick; use correct viscosity per temperature
Check coolant level in deaeration tank — must be at FULL COLD line; check for leaks at hoses and connections
Check transmission fluid level — must be between MIN and MAX on dipstick (engine warm, running)
Check transfer case fluid level — must be at fill plug level; check for leaks
Check hydraulic oil level in reservoir — must be between MIN and MAX; check for leaks at lines and fittings
Check fuel level — fill to required level; inspect fuel tank, lines, and fittings for leaks
Check battery electrolyte level — must be 3/8 inch above plates; check terminals and cables for corrosion
Check air reservoir pressure — must reach 100–120 PSI before driving; check for audible air leaks
Inspect all 8 tires for proper inflation — 65 PSI on-road; check for cuts, bulges, or embedded objects
Check run-flat inserts — verify all 8 run-flat inserts are properly seated and serviceable
Check central tire inflation system (CTIS) — verify controller functions; no leaks at wheel ends or lines
Check all lights — headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, clearance lights, blackout lights
Check NBC overpressure system — filter condition, seals, and blower operation
Check fire suppression system — bottles charged; sensors and wiring intact; no warning lights
Check Remote Weapon Station (RWS) — power up, traverse and elevation function, camera operational
Check intercom system — all crew and dismount positions must communicate clearly
Check radio equipment — all radios power up and communicate; antennas properly mounted
Check ramp operation — ramp must lower and raise fully; latch secures properly
Check driver's display unit (DDU) — power up, no fault codes, GPS functional
Check service brakes — air pressure must hold; pedal firm; no pulling or grabbing
Check parking brake — must hold vehicle on grade; releases fully when disengaged
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on 5988 immediately.
