AFTER OPERATIONS PMCS

Check engine compartment for fluid leaks — oil, coolant, fuel, or hydraulic fluid on ground or components

Check engine oil level — top off if below MIN; investigate if significantly low

Check coolant level in deaeration tank — top off if low; never open cap when hot

Check transmission fluid level — top off if below MIN

Drain air reservoirs — open drain valves to expel moisture from primary and secondary air tanks

Inspect all tires for damage, embedded objects, or abnormal wear after operation

Inspect brake chambers, lines, and hoses for leaks, chafing, or damage on all axles

Inspect driveshafts and U-joints — front, rear, and inter-axle; check for damage or missing hardware

Check wheel lug nuts for tightness on all 10 wheels — torque to 450–500 ft-lbs if loose

Inspect exhaust system — no loose hangers, cracks, or leaks near cab or cargo area

Check air filter restriction indicator — service if red band shows

Inspect fuel system — check fuel lines, filter, and tank for leaks or damage

Check all exterior lights for damage or burned-out bulbs

Inspect body, frame, and cargo bed for damage — dents, cracks, or loose components

Check doors, latches, and hinges — must open, close, and latch properly

Inspect windshield and mirrors for cracks or damage affecting visibility

Check seat belts and mounting hardware — must latch, retract, and release properly

Inspect cargo bed, tailgate, and tie-down rings — no cracks, missing hardware, or damaged rings

Inspect inter-axle differential lock — must engage and disengage properly; no binding

Clean vehicle exterior — remove mud, debris, and corrosive materials from undercarriage and body

Complete DA Form 5988 — annotate all faults found; submit to motor sergeant
