DURING OPERATIONS PMCS
Monitor these items while the vehicle is operating. Stop immediately if any NFMC condition is observed.

Monitor engine temperature gauge — must stay in normal operating range; stop if approaching red zone
Monitor oil pressure gauge — must show pressure within 10 seconds of startup; minimum 10 PSI at idle
Monitor air pressure gauges — primary and secondary circuits must maintain 100–120 PSI during operation
Monitor voltmeter — must show charge (13.5–14.5V); investigate immediately if showing discharge
Check for unusual engine noises — knocking, rattling, or excessive exhaust smoke (blue, white, or black)
Check steering response — no excessive play, pulling, or binding; investigate any shimmy or wander
Check brake performance — vehicle must stop in a straight line; no pulling, grinding, or fade
Monitor transmission temperature — must stay in normal range; no slipping, harsh shifts, or delayed engagement
Monitor CTIS (if equipped) — system must maintain selected pressure; investigate if pressure drops during operation
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
