DURING OPERATIONS PMCS
Monitor these items while the vehicle is operating. Stop immediately if any NFMC condition is observed.

Monitor engine temperature gauge — must stay in normal operating range; stop if approaching red zone
Monitor oil pressure gauge — must show pressure within 10 seconds of startup; minimum 10 PSI at idle
Monitor air pressure gauges — primary and secondary circuits must maintain 100–120 PSI during operation
Monitor voltmeter — must show charge; investigate if showing discharge or battery warning light illuminates
Check for unusual engine noises — knocking, rattling, or excessive exhaust smoke
Monitor steering response — no excessive pulling, binding, or loss of steering control
Check brake performance — vehicle must decelerate smoothly; no pulling, grinding, or fade
Monitor hydraulic system — LHS must operate smoothly; no jerking, slow response, or loss of pressure
Monitor transmission — no slipping, harsh shifts, or unusual noises
Check flatrack load — verify load remains secured; stop if flatrack shifts or locking pins disengage
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
